The FAFSA
The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the only financial aid application required by MassArt to determine a student's eligibility for financial aid. Students are strongly encouraged to file their application online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, though a paper version of the FAFSA may be obtained if needed.
MassArt's priority deadline for filing the FAFSA is March 1. Filing by the priority deadline ensures that the student will be considered for all possible aid opportunities.
In order for MassArt to receive your FAFSA, our school code must be entered on your application. MassArt's school code is 002180.
Students (and parents of dependent students) must apply for a four-digit federal PIN in order to sign their FAFSA electronically. You will use this PIN every year that you apply for financial aid, so be sure to keep it handy. Apply for your PIN before you begin your FAFSA to avoid any delay in processing time.
Remember, students must apply for financial aid every year. If you have completed a FAFSA online in prior years, some of your demographic information will be pre-filled in your application, making the FAFSA easier to complete in subsequent years.
