Counseling and Health Services
The transition from living at home to living on your own in a new city, in a new country, at a new college can be a huge adjustment for anyone, but can be particularly challenging for international students. MassArt's Office of Counseling Services is there to assist students during this period of transition and stress. Many MassArt students find it helpful to speak to the professional counselors in this office and utilize the support and guidance that they offer.
The Office of International Education encourages all international students to check in with a MassArt counselor particularly during their first year in Boston. Counseling services are free to MassArt students and all sessions are completely confidential. Details of your visit are not shared with your parents, family, or instructors.
MassArt also offers excellent services to all students for any health-related issues. Please visit Health Services for any physical ailments you may encounter. We encourage you to take advantage of this excellent resource and air on the side of caution with caring for yourself physically and emotionally.
Remember: your physical health affects your emotional health and your emotional health affects your physical health. It is important to take care of your body, mind, and spirit in order to be healthy.
