Computer Arts Facilities
- three 2D Imaging and Design studios for graphic design, electronic prepress, electronic book design, Web, DVD and interface design, illustration, painting, drawing, and photography using Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, Dreamweaver, Acrobat), and others;
- three interactive multimedia studios to support 2D animation, stop motion, sound editing, digital video, and live performance, using software such as Final Cut Pro, Live, Reason, Avid Xpress, and Max/MSP/Jitter;
- a Pentium Pro Windows NT environment for CAD, 3D modeling, rendering, and animation using a variety of tools including AutoDesSys FormZ, Kinetix 3-D Studio Max, Autodesk AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other tools as needed to respond to the challenge of rapid change in this area;
- two Windows XP studios to support Architecture, Industrial Design, and Fashion for CAD, 3D modeling, rendering, and animation using a variety of tools including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, U4ia, FormZ, Alias Tools, and other software as needed to respond to the challenge of rapid change in this area;
- a computer integrated video studio that combines traditional SVHS editing and mixing with "low end" digital video editing with Final Cut Pro and Avid Xpress;
- an electronics studio for computer controlled media and robotics;
- a computer seminar room for lectures, presentations, discussions, and critiques of computer media projects;
- numerous specialized facilities for stop motion animation, sound recording and mixing, computer aided milling, weaving, and video editing.
