Holiday and Spring Sales
An annual tradition since 1983, the Holiday Sale at MassArt is sponsored by Student Activities and Programs. Students and alumni have the opportunity to sell their work to the public and savvy shoppers can pick up unique holiday gifts. Past sales have featured jewelry, paintings, sculpture, photography, paints, textiles and more. Held in the lobby of the Tower building, it's a festive occasion and is eagerly awaited by both our students, faculty, staff, and the public.
From spirit shakers to chess sets, hand-made soap to fire-hydrant shaped candles, these items and more can be found at the MassArt Holiday Sale. Students receive 70 percent of the proceeds and alumni receive 65 percent. Sales support financial assistance to students.
In 2008-2009, over 300 artists participated in the holiday and spring sales and sold over $100,000 in work.
The upcoming MassArt Holiday Sale 2010 is scheduled for December 6-11. The sales hours of operation are 10:00am-7:00pm, and the sale is located in the lobby of the Tower building (directions).
Holiday Sale: December 6-11, 2010
The Holiday Sale jury will be held on Saturday, October 30 and Monday, November 1. Submit artwork from 9:00am-1:00pm in the Gymnasium (next to the Public Safety Office). Artwork will be juried from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. Artists must pick up their work between 3:00 - 5:00 pm.
