Mandatory Ethics Training

On July 1, 2009, Governor Patrick signed into law Chapter 28 of the Acts of 2009 (the "Bill"), which made important changes to the state's conflict of interest law and the State Ethics Commission's enabling act (G.L. c. 268A and c. 268B). Among those changes are new mandatory education and training requirements for public employees at every level of government, including the state level.

Access the Online Training now. Once you have completed the training, please print the certificate of completion. Send a copy of the certificate to the Human Resources office and keep a copy for yourself. This training must be completed by Friday, April 2, 2010.

The portions of the Bill that relate to the conflict of interest law were effective as of September 29, 2009. View an overview of the changes to the ethics law.

Please note that the college is required to inform employees of this obligation under the law, but it is your responsibility to complete the training and provide a copy of the certificate of completion to the Human Resources office.

Thank you for your consideration and cooperation. Please contact the Office of Human Resources at 617 879 7920 if you have questions.

Important information regarding trust fund payroll
In January 2009, MassArt moved all payroll payments to the Commonwealth's Human Resources Compensation Management System (HR/CMS). This transition merged all MassArt payrolls on to one system. Some of the benefits for employees are access to direct deposit, access to pay advices online, and one W2.

There were a few changes to the timesheets and the dates the timesheets are due. Please view the recent changes to the trust fund payroll for more information.
